Dashboards that show what's actually happening in your business.

Some businesses already have the data, scattered across exports, spreadsheets and systems that don't talk to each other. Others aren't tracking anything yet. Either way the job is the same: get you to the point where you can see what's happening in your business, and why.

What this covers

  • When there's no data yet

If nothing is being tracked at the moment, that's the first piece of work: putting the measurement in place so performance can be recorded properly. Once it's running, the numbers start explaining what's going well and where a problem is actually coming from.

  • Getting the data together

Pulling numbers out of the spreadsheets, systems and exports they're currently scattered across, and getting them into one place that stays current.

  • A dashboard you'll actually check

Built around the handful of things you need to know each week, not every metric that could technically be plotted.

  • Reporting that runs itself

Recurring reports automated, so the monthly numbers stop being a manual afternoon of copying and pasting.

  • One-off analysis

Sometimes you don't need a dashboard, you need a specific question answered properly. That's a piece of work in its own right.

How a data project works

  1. Discovery call

What decisions you're trying to make, and what you'd want to check each week if you could.

  2. Find the data

What already exists and where it lives. If nothing is being tracked yet, putting that measurement in place is the first job.

  3. Clean and organise

Getting the numbers into a consistent shape you can trust, so the same question always gives the same answer.

  4. Build the dashboard

The handful of things that actually matter, rather than every metric that could be plotted.

  5. Handover

If you want to own it, I'll show you how it reads, how it refreshes, and what to do when a number looks wrong. If you'd rather it just kept working, I keep maintaining it.

If you find yourself moving between different platforms to perform a single operation, and it's slowing you down, there is usually a better way.
